I’ve written plenty of posts about tan – I’m all about fake tan. I can go without makeup no problem, but no tan? I really wouldn’t be able to cope. I’ve been wanting to try the Vita Liberata 2-3 Week Tan for SO LONG, but I couldn’t justify spending €50 on a tan if I didn’t know it would be amazing (for €50, it would want to be divine!), so I was only delighted when I got it for Christmas. If this tan really did last for 2-3 weeks, it would actually change my life. Really though, I always have a full body tan on, so if my tan lasted 2-3 weeks then it actually would change my life!
So, for the tan to last 2-3 weeks, what you’re supposed to do is apply a layer, shower after eight hours and then reapply. It’s recommended that you apply three layers for the tan to last 2-3 weeks. It’s supposed to be easy to apply, fade evenly, and basically tick all the boxes that you’d want in a tan.
First Impressions
What I will say is that it is super easy to apply. Not a lot of product comes out in one pump, but it spreads nicely so a little goes a long way. There’s a slight fake tan smell, it’s not overpowering but it’s definitely not odourless. It also has a slight red tint off it when you apply. So I left that on overnight, as I usually would and rinsed it off the next morning. I was as white as a ghost.
Another layer later, I had what I’d describe as a nice, natural tan – but not dark like it says on the bottle. My legs were still basically white. Then the third and final layer was actually fab.
Three Layers Later
I was so impressed three layers later. The colour was dark and fabulous. It wasn’t as dark on my legs as it was on my arms, but it was still nice. So that kind of overtook the thoughts I had with the first two layers – I was loving it!

The Aftermath
Three days later, I was taking back every good word I said about this tan. This photo isn’t even showing how patchy and scaley this tan went after three days. To say I was annoyed is an understatement. Vita Liberata is meant to be a luxury tanning brand, the only thing luxury about this tan is the price.

Is it Worth the Buy?
Each product works differently for everyone, but for me, it’s a big no. I am going to give it another go and see what happens because I do really want it to work. But I’ve tried it twice now, and I’m not too impressed. Particularly for €50, it should be AMAZING. It’s just not. You’d be better off buying a cute pair of shoes in Zara than spending €50 on Vita Liberata, to be honest.
Vita Liberata pHenomenal – No Thanks, Hun
For me, Bellamianta is the Queen product of the tanning world. Although, I’ve been using Bondi Sands lately and I am LOVING it! Because I’m not rolling in money (if only), I’ve been wearing Iconic Bronze for day-to-day. It’s amazing for the price, perfect for an everyday tan.
