The phrase silly season annoys me a little, depending on what kind of mood I’m in, but either way, the start of silly season is here. My skin isn’t exfoliated enough, my wardrobe is not prepared, and my bank account is certainly not ready. But that’s not going to stop Mariah Carey singing All I Want for Christmas, the endless Prosecco pouring and the outburst of sequins. So naturally, my mind is on what I’m going to be wearing over “silly season” when it should be how I’m going to pull together all these pressies. Here are some fab picks I’ve spotted scrolling through my faves online.
I’ve always had a soft spot for River Island, and sequins. So put the two together and I’m delira. This dress would be fab with barely there heels and a lil’ clutch. Perfect if you want to go glam but don’t want to get your full arms out either.

Another sparkly, sleeved number. But how gorgeous is this colour? The batwing sleeve is the perfect touch, and it’ll be ideal with everything from heels to sock boots.

For when you just don’t fancy a dress, this two-piece is loud, sleek and just STUNNING. An added bonus because you can easily mix and match both the blazer and the pants.

Possibly a more casual choice, but you’d be able to wear this again and again. With gorgeous barely there heels and plenty of glam jewellery for the Christmas party, or with tights and Doc Martins for your everyday bits.

I live for a T-shirt dress. They’re the comfiest things ever and perfect for when that Christmas bloat feels like it’s here to stay. Pair it with sparkles and it’s even better. Hurray for comfort and glam in one.

If you can’t opt for a sleek, glam, red number at Christmas, then when can you? This ASOS dress is basically made for Christmas. How gorgeous would it be with gold heels and a little hoop?

€62.21
Another gorgeous green pick with sleeves, I’m sensing a theme here. But with the velvet material, the festive green and the lack of bodycon, it’s just perffff.

I don’t think this one would be as comfy but it’s so structured, but really, who cares when it looks this good? It’s the epitome of glam and I really do think I need it in my life.

Finishing things off with an LBD, because how could I not? This blazer style dress is something a little different, particularly with the sheer sleeves.
