Not that I’m complaining right now, but my hair is extremely thick. Almost annoyingly thick, but like I said, not that I’m complaining… So, even though it’s short, it’s a job and a half when it comes to drying and straightening it.
When I first heard of the Lanaiblo hairdryer, I was so tempted to pick it up for myself. But I already had a pretty good hairdryer, and I was trying not to buy everything that made me ooh and ahh.
So when it arrived in the post*, the excitement to try it out was almost too much. I’ve been using it for about three months now, so the question is, is it worth the buy?
What does it claim?
Basically, the LanaiBLO hairdryer claims to have a whole lot of benefits. Including a 2400 Watt power, essentially a professional watt for a quick-drying experience, it has an anti-static effect (we all know the struggle of static hair) which is meant to leave the cuticle of your hair smooth, giving you that smooth and shiny finish. It has six blowdrying options to choose from, with two different size nozzles and a cold shot to lock in the style.
Plus it’s lightweight will a long cord, simple but so, SO effective.
There’s plenty of colours to choose from, including white, black, pink, rose gold – the list goes on. So, you can get the LanaiBLO for €99.99 or a personalised version for €114.99, so no one can claim it on you.
But is it worth the price tag? Let’s get into it.
What are the real benefits?
Firstly, the LanaiBLO itself looks gorgeous, and it’s always fab to have something with your name on it, that’s the first pretty obvious benefit. Secondly, you’d be hard-pressed not to notice exactly how long the cord is. Feeling restricted because of short leads is annoying, anyone with an iPhone can tell you that. So that’s another obvious benefit, straight away.
Like I said previously, I have really thick hair, so drying it can be an absolute pain. But I was really pleasantly surprised by this. My hair went from soaking wet to bone dry in just less than ten minutes.
Is it worth the price tag?
Long story short, if you want to make your whole hair drying experience easier, it’s 100% worth the buy. This is a product that you can truly believe the hype around. I’ve always hated having to dry my hair anyway, but right now, I couldn’t imagine having to go back to any other hairdryer.
It easily cuts the drying time in half, leaves hair much silkier and all-round much nicer, in my opinion. I thought my old hairdryer was pretty great, but I obviously knew nothing because the difference between that and its predecessor is just simply insane.
All in all, if you’re looking to invest in a hairdryer, it’s so, so, SO worth it. If you fancy it, check it out here.
*I received some of these products as press samples, from my actual 9-5 job
