I’m forever wearing tan, like always. My absolute favourite tan right now is Bellamianta (I’ve a full review of most of their range here) but sometimes a cheaper tan is needed when you’re basically crawling your way to pay day but still want a fab tan. I’ve always loved the dark shade of Cocoa Brown and for less than a tenner it was always ideal – but since I’ve tried Iconic Bronze, I’m thinking it will take over Cocoa Browns place in my tanning drawer…
I seen so many people raving about Iconic Bronze on Instagram, so when I spotted it in Penneys I obviously just had to buy it. I picked up the dark lotion (I love a good mahog shade!) and I think it was about €10/€12. So not much more expensive than Cocoa Brown. So obviously the price is great, I love the packaging too and the pump on it makes it so handy too – way easier than a squeezy bottle. I scrubbed off every bit of tan I had on and I was so excited to try this. The before pic is below, my skin is basically a super pale shade of grey at this stage!
Before I get into what the tan is actually like, it sounds amazing before you even try it. It’s described as being free from Parabens, Nasties & Harsh Chemicals, enriched with sunflower oil with a jasmine and orange blossom scent (fancay). It also promises high-quality formula with minimal drying time, streak-free results and a beautiful olive-toned glow as well as keeping your skin smooth and nourished. Diviiiiiiine.
This was so easy to put on. The lotion spreads really nicely and there’a a fab colour guide. Like you could literally put this on and leave because of the fab glow it gives straight away and it dries super quickly. The smell (jasmine and orange blossom) actually kind of reminded me of the smell you get when you walk into a hairdressers. I was already obsessed with it straight away. I left it on overnight and then quickly rinsed it off in the morning.
I am OBSESSED with the colour, it’s actually so fab. I had it on for a little less than a week and it wore off really nicely, it didn’t go patchy or scaly looking at all. I think it will definitely be taking Cocoa Browns place for me! There’s a medium lotion too, as well as a double sided tanning mitt. If you a haven’t tried it yet, it’s definitely worth picking up, especially seen as it won’t cost you a fortune even if you’re not a fan – although I’m in love!
