Hello everyone! It’s been a while.
Because we’re basically knees deep in January right now the January blues have really hit me. I’ve already broken my healthy eating, I’m sick of seeing the word ‘diet’ everywhere, the weather is making my walk to college way tougher and I am so, so broke.
I’m working in River Island right now, so naturally, temptation is EVERYWHERE. I literally pick out everything I wish was in my wardrobe whenever I’m working. I was scrolling through their website and thought I would do a ‘Fashion Fix’ – it’s not helping my January blues but I can’t stop looking, ha! So here’s a few of my favourites that are in River Island right now.
Cream Stripe Scoop Back Bodycon Midi Dress – €37
I’m so in love with this! It would be perfect to wear during the Summer with converse or flats, and with a leather jacket thrown over if it gets cold! It’s so effortless.
I’m also loving the scoop neck and the short sleeves. What’s also great about it is that even though it’s bodycon, it doesn’t seem like the type that’s so tight that you can’t actually move. It looks super comfortable and it could be worn so many ways. Definitely picking this up as soon as!
Light Pink Double Strap Cami – €33
I’ve never really been a fan of pink, but how gorgeous would this colour be during the Spring/Summer? Especially with a tan! The double straps with the gold detail are gorgeous too. Cami tops are so handy for those nights out when you have nothing to wear.
Yellow Geometric Print Double Strap Cami – €25
Another came top, like I said – I love them! They’re so handy when you can’t find anything to wear. This is also double strapped – but with out the gold detail. Although with the bright geometric print, there’s no need for any more detail here! It’s the perfect kind of top to brighten up your wardrobe without going too over board.
Cream Split Back Shirt – €45
I am obsessed with shirts and this light weight cream shirt with it’s relaxed fit and gorgeous split back looks fab. The small gold buttons really go nicely with this shirt. This could easily be dressed up or down with minimal effort!
Blue Stripe Jacquard Sleeveless Tunic – €33
This high neck sleeveless tunic is part of River Island’s New Collection, along with two matching pencils skirts – one mid length and a longer one too, so there’s a mix & match option! How fab with this be with white jeans and gold accessories? I love it!
Red Print Twist Back Shirt – €50
Another shirt =! But how gorgeous is this print? It would easily style up either white or black jeans. These type of shirts are so comfortable and easily hide any bits that sometimes need to be hidden around this time of year (Well for me, I’d say I ate double my body weight at Christmas and I’m not exactly sticking to healthy eating! Haha..)
The twist detail at the back is the perfect extra little detail for this shirt.
Light Wash Denim Minimal Shirt – €43
This is part of the New Collection too, they also have a shirt like this bit a ‘distressed’ design. I don’t think I need to blabber on about this – who doesn’t love a denim shirt?
Mint Green Faux Suede Wrap Mini Skirt – €40
I love this colour! It’s so perfect for Spring/Summer. The wrap style front and belted waist really compliment each other. It would be gorgeous with white or navy, and so easy to style. Mint green is so much easier to wear than you would think.
If you’re not feeling the mint green, this fab suede skirt in a light and a dark brown.
White Stripe Molly Jeggings – €50/€55
Ok so, how cool are these! Might need to be a bit brave to wear them, they’re nothing like the normal jeans kind of look! I absolutely love Molly jeans and I’m so excited that River Island are bringing in new designs in their Molly jeans. They’re so comfortable and I love that they come in different leg lengths, my legs are tiny so having a short leg option is always great!
I saw these in the shop and they were priced at €55, but €50 online :/ so I’m not sure what the story is there!
Dark Green Highwaisted Molly Jeggings – €50/€55
I feel like I’m repeating myself here! But high waist Khaki Mollys are so needed in my wardrobe. They’re also highwaisted and have ‘Holding Power’.
Again, they were priced at €55 in the shop and €50 online.
Black Suede Fringed Block Heel Sandals – €50
You can really see the fringe detail in the picture because they’re black, but these buckled fringe sandals are absolute beauts! I spotted them straight away and fell in love. The block heel would be so comfortable. They also come in beige and khaki too!
Dark Red Suede Heeled Ankle Boots – €90
I put these Limited Edition ankle boots up on my Instagram yesterday, they are so gorgeous! With the round toe and elasticated sides, I bet they’re so comfortable. The heel height is 9.5cm so they’re to ridiculously high either.
There’s definitely more that I’d love but I won’t be boring you!
