There’s a few things I’ve always been obsessed with, then there’s obsessive phases I go through with things. One minute it could be red lips and the next it could be Mighty Munch. Around this time of year there’s always so much things that I’m obsessing over that I can BARELY contain myself. I just love all ze Autumnal vibes and the lead up to Halloween, my birthday (or birth week even) and Christmas. So as I’m sitting here all cosy with big fluffy slippers on and a cup of tea, I thought I’d go through a few (or eight) things that I’m all about right now.
1. Halloween looks
I LOVE Halloween. It’s also great that my birthday is the day after (now that you know, I’ll be expecting a present). The amount of times I say ‘oh wow’ or ‘how even’ out loud when scrolling through Halloween makeup looks on Instagram is ridiculous. I have a post coming up all about some amazing looks from a few of my favourite makeup artists on Instagram, but my last ‘Pinteresting Monday‘ post was all about Halloween inspo too. That post is full of some fab Halloween looks that I seen on Pinterest lately, you can take a read of that here. 🙂
2. Shellac nails
I started getting shellac done a couple of months ago and I don’t know how I lived without it before that. I am literally obsessed with my nails constantly now. What was turning me off shellac before was that I thought I would get bored of my nails quickly, mainly because I was always painting my nails every couple of days myself. But my nails look so perfect all the time now that I just can’t be bored of them. My own nails (below) are long enough that I don’t need gel nails, so I’m just obsessed with shellac right now. I’m always (probably more than enough) posting my nails on Instagram, so if you want to have a creep head over there!
3. Big blanket scarves & cosy jumpers
I live for big massive scarves and cosy jumpers, just give me all of the cosiness. Clothes around this time of year just give me all the feels. Of course, I’ll be whinging when it’s super Wintery out and raining 24/7, as well as saying ‘oh my go d it’s so cold’ every three minutes, but at least I can still wrap up all cosy.
4. Note Detox & Protect Foundation
I’ve been using this foundation for about two months now I think, and I love love LOVE it. It’s lightweight, the coverage is fab, it lasts all day and it has SPF in it. An ideal everyday foundation. It’s also only around €15, perfff. It has me dying to try out more Note products. I’ve a full review of the Note Detox & Protect foundation here, it’s so worth a try.
5. Nip & Fab Face Masks
I picked up these masks on offer in Boots last week and I already can’t wait to get my hands on them again. The bubble mask feels insane, in a good way. My skin felt amazing afterwards and it’s actually so relaxing. The hydration mask is also amazing, my skin was so hydrated after using it (well, so it should be), but it felt like that for a few days afterwards too. I’m so excited to try these again, there’s only one mask in each packet so that’s the only downfall really. These are the times that the fact that there’s no Boots where I live just kills me.
6. Tele in general at this time of year
There’s nothing I love more than chilling with a cup of tea on front of the tele. Around this time of year, all the good TV is back – another reason why I love this time of year! All the good seasons are starting back and there’s something good on every night. I’m also getting back into The X Factor this year. I’m not sure if I love it or just love giving out about it and thinking I’m the fourth judge.
7. Iconic Bronze tan
I’m an avid tanner, so a budget tan is always a must. I used to always use Cocoa Brown as my budget buy tan, but since trying Iconic Bronze I honestly don’t think I’ll be buying Cocoa Brown over Iconic Bronze. The colour of this is just amazing and it lasts so well. I’ve also written a full review of the Iconic Bronze dark lotion, right here, or if you want another read, my full tanning routine is here. 😀
8. L.O.V Cosmetics LOVglow Highlighting Drops
I’ve been using these highlighting drops every day for the past few weeks either as a base, mixed in with my foundation or over my foundation and I just love them. They leave a gorgeous glow to your skin and they aren’t super glittery so they’d suit just about everyone. I’ve been trying out a few L.O.V bits so I’m thinking of writing a full review on all of the bits, but this is my favourite out of the lot so far. The only thing I will say about them is that the dropper doesn’t work too well, unless I just got a dodgy one – hopefully they’re not all like that!
So they’re a few things that I’m just living for right now. I think I’ll do a post like this either every month or maybe just every two months. I’m sure eventually it’ll just be a long list of food or my favourite takeaways!
I’ve a newsletter coming out at the end of each month, so really, I think while you’re here you may as well sign up to that too. 😀 I’m also tying to start using Snapchat more, so I’d only love if you added me over there (@beautitudeblog) but you won’t catch me talking on it any time soon ha!
*I was sent out the L.O.V Cosmetics products to try, but these are all my own opinions. As per – if only I could throw in that lil sassy emoji with her hand pointing out here. 😀
